Vitals, exam, and a couple of numbers. Classify the shock and start the right thing, because fluid for cardiogenic shock and pressors for hypovolemia are both ways to make it worse.
What you will practice

- Pick the initial intervention that fits the physiology
- Reassess and change your mind when the numbers argue back
